Mother Reilly
Eileen Mahon nee Reilly, Mother Reilly herself. Born 108 years ago today (22nd April 2021). She was the matriarch of the Mahon family. Born in Cavan she moved to Dublin as a teenager where she met Owen and together they had 11 children. In those days the husband of the family brought home the money but times were tough.
Eileen worked hard picking up work where she could and saved up every penny she could until in the early 60’s they were able to buy number 30 Upper Rathmines Road, where we call home today.
She was so full of love and is missed dearly by all her children who she guided to become the successful people they are today dotted across the globe from Canada, America, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Her legacy lives on through them, her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren
